While cleaning out my father=in-laws gun room a few years back I found what appears to be a very small cannon. It is about 8 or 9 inches long and must weigh about 5 or 6 pounds. It has a 3/4 inch hole in the front and a small hole out the side at the bottom. It is shaped just like a large cannon with a flare at the end. I just found it today and tried to clean it up a little to see if it had any markings but it does not. I presume that it is a little black powder cannon that would make a real bang on the 4th of July. I guess to fire it I would need cannon fuse but remember seeing some at a local shop. Does anyone know about these little cannons. I plan on taking some pics so that may help id this thing.

My uncle used to have one on a little wooden platform with wooden wheels and all, he would fire it out the back of his garage at random times and wake up the whole valley.

He would put in a black powder charge wad up newspapers on top and after it fired would stand back and laugh.
