Got to do a little hunting for myself, this past weekend with a good friend, we had pig tags and deer tags in out pockets, we spent sat glassing for javilina but found nothing but deer, 3 bucks on a nomal year would have had stalks put on them, but I have some plans this year, and if I tag a deer in Jan I cannot make my plans happen, so with that said, I passed on all 3 bucks, one would be in the 160 class,

On sunday we found some hogs on a hill side I was able to stalk to with in 21 yards of a boar javi, he went about 40 yards after he was hit.

Congratulations on your Javalina. Are they good to eat I have heard they are unfit for human consumption.

They are but care must be made from the time you shoot till the time you get the hide off, the faster you can get the hide off and becareful as to not let the hair touch the meat, and get it cooled down quickly, they are great table fare, but I have mine turned into beef sticks and sasuage
