me and my brother in law were out hunting elk during the general season. to keep it short and simple we cow called a few times, got a bugle and about 5 minutes later 2 bulls walked over the ridge. both were small rag horns so i let him take the bigger one of the 2, then mine stood there so i decided to shoot him too. 830 am opening morning we were both tagged out. here is mine

I shoot cow elk for meat and bulls for horns! thanks for the congrats though it was a very fun hunt.

Nothing wrong with a short hunt if that is what you going for, congrats on some good shootin and bringing home some bone freezer stuffings. :clap:
