PA record bear kill
This part of PA isn't it fairly close to where you all bear hunt? Somebody went bear hunting and took a monster. Short story but interesting, enjoy.

Looks like there are some BIG bruins in PA. Is this close to your camp?

My son in law belongs to a camp in Potter County they hunted all of bear season and never saw a bear. No wonder that big bruiser ate all the other bears around.

Most years PA bear hunting produces a dozen or so bears weighing 600 lbs or more. Yes we produce some bears of size. I have seen a couple bears (Not in bear season) that I am positive exceeded 500 lbs and believe me that is a big animal. Since the young man was Amish it is doubtful that pictures would have been taken at least with their knowledge. When you stop to think about it bears over 600 lbs are approaching the size of some grizzly bears.
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.
