Way to go Phil. be sure to sight your rifle in before you go.
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.

COngrats Phil and good luck on the hunt. What unit are you hunting in? 2nd rifle here also but Dawn and I buy OTC tags. We are going to hunt with a small group off the realtree website, most of whom I've hunted with before or shot with at my local range. Keep us posted Phil.

Congrats Phil, meant to comment sooner, but always seemed to check out before I did.

Very cool. Does that mean you guys are stopping through Omaha again? I am heading out there mid July to do some scouting with Tom up by Steamboat. He is hunting a unit up there and I am planning on going out there the 2013 2nd gun season.

Rowdy & Charlie, I'm hunting in 48 with Huck again.
Steve, I'm not sure but I think we'll be coming through mid-morningish as there's 3 of us planning on driving straight through with the extra driver. I'd love to say hi on the way !
*Sure am praying for all my Colorado friends that are being affected by the wildfires.

Cool, I know youll have a great time. He's a good guy we dont get to visit with enough. Wife and I drew buck muley tags for u38 so its back to Gilpin County for deer. Our realtree hunt in u81 is pretty well solidified, we know what and where and some scouting was done and a lotta elk were seen(not by us). Tomorrow we go see the big rancher to get permission to hunt his place for antelope. I hunted there two prior years and hope to again in Sept. Good luck in u48.

Thanks Charlie & goodluck ! Our plans altered some already. Pastor Keith decided to stay the entire 9 days of the CO rifle season so he's hunting mulies with us a couple days then heading down to Pagossa Springs to hunt 5 days for elk in an otc area with some law enforcement officers from PA. So...Will usually has an extra vehicle availible but if not, Fred & I will be hitchhiking back up to Denver Weds night to catch a flight home Thurs.morning....sighhh...group hunts and getting everyone on board!

you might wish ya had a donkey to ride down the mtn :) I'm hunting 501 first season bull, I have a land owner tag for 2nd season cow, over in 50...but don't know how much time I'll have for 2nd season...we take off on Nov 9th - 18th to Montana to hunt mulies with Jack. So I have to watch my vacation time.
IF you really need a ride down the mtn Phil :) let me know....we can make sure you'll make the airport.
