Recent Elk transplants, from Kentucky, haven't fared so well. Six cows, one yearling bull and three calves have died. They are saying they believe the cause to be a combination of stress from being relocated topped by extreme heat and drought. It's a shame as earlier transplants have been doing so well. They need to open a rita's italian ice stand for them. Helps me out in this heat. All joking aside, I hope the rest do ok.
