Just moved to PA and saw in older posts that you can not use a 22 semi (like a Ruger 10/22) to hunt squirrels but can use a semi shotgun?? How did that happen. My semi's (even my Remington 30-06 semi are so accurate, I would galdly shoot against anyone with a bolt action at 500 yds). Or my Ruger 10/22 at 100 yds. I thought PA was a good state for gun laws?? Not to vent but just dont understant. I know guys here that use a pump shotguns for deer and shoot 5 rounds at deer and miss keep doing this. So wounding deer or squirrels must not tbe the issue...must be somthing else going on that we dont know about.

JJ that is how it has been for as long as I can remember here in PA and that is a long time. I started hunting in 1955. At first I just took that rule as the norm till I hunted in several other states and found out different. The only semi auto permitted is a shotgun.
If God had a refrigerator would your picture be on it.
