I ordered my daughter her first real bow. It's a long bow for left handed shooters. My question is with arrows, she's got a 17.5" draw length. Can I use longer carbon arrow so she's covered as her draw length increases? I ordered a youth bow from gi bows.

Scott if it were me with a young one I would not be using carbon shafts.  I would go with much less expensive aluminum shafts.  That way the cost of upgrading to a longer shaft is far less.  I would want a shaft no matter the composition to fit her and the bow weight so she can more quickly reach her accuracy potential because if she cannot hit the target due to arrow incompatibility she will quickly lose interest.  Make her first target a really big one as success breeds success.

I ordered the 18" draw length with 15 lb. draw eight. What shafts would you recommend ? This will be her 7 yr. birthday present. She has a plastic bow with suction cup arrows and asked for a better one.
